Entering the London Marathon Ballot
We highly recommend everyone apply for the London Marathon public ballot if they would like to run for us. If you are successful in the public ballot, you can still support us. The ballot will open on Friday 25 April 2025 and close on Friday 2 May 2025.
The winners are drawn at random, so everyone has an equal shot – it’s all about the luck of the draw. If you’re successful, you’ll secure a coveted spot in the next TCS London Marathon and can join #TeamCFCS.
Apply for a charity place
The Charity for Civil Servants have a limited number of London Marathon places in the TCS London Marathon 2026. If you are interested in joining our team please email fundraise@cfcs.org.uk and a member of the team will get in touch to run through your application.
We ask all of our Charity place runners to give a registration fee of £50 and to commit to raising a minimum of £1,800.

All Team CFCS runners will receive:
- A technical running top to wear on race day
- Support throughout your fundraising journe
- A fundraising pack full of hints and tips
- Support with raising awareness of your heroic effort amongst the Civil Service
community - A post-race reception and cheer squad along the route
